Paid Time Off (PTO)

PTO begins to accrue starting day. During the first 2-years of employment, an employee can earn up to 12 hours of PTO per month. The amount accrued increases with longevity.
Longevity Pay

After 5 years of employment, a qualifying employee, will earn longevity pay and will see increases in this pay, every 5 years up to 25 years of employment.
Retirement Plan

Helen Farabee Center contributes 6% of a full-time employee’s annual pay into a 401a account. (no match required; has a vesting period).
Military Leave

15 days of leave with pay is granted to an employee that is called to active duty by the Governor or a reserve branch of the United States Armed Forces.
Bereavement/Emergency Leave

Leave with pay is granted to employees due to a death in the immediate family.

Holiday Pay

Helen Farabee Centers recognizes 11 paid holidays each year.
Employee Assistance Program

Employees and their families are provided an EAP free of charge for short-term counseling and other services.
Anniversary Pay

Qualifying employees receive leave with pay for one day taken within their month of hire annually.
Jury Duty Leave

Leave with pay is granted to employees called for jury duty. This shall only be for the time the employee has to be physically present for services.

We offer 3 plans through UMR (United Medical Resources) a United Health Care company. - Base Plan, Co-Pay Plan, & Buy-Up Plan
Deferred compensation or Roth Retirement plans

Deferred compensation or Roth Retirement plans are offered for part & full-time employees (403b & 457).
Voluntary Life/ AD&D

All eligible employees can elect Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage through UNUM.
Voluntary Long-Term Disability

All eligible employees can elect LTD coverage through UNUM.
Voluntary Short-Term Disability

All eligible employees can elect short-term disability coverage through UNUM.
Critical Illness

All eligible employees can elect Critical Illness coverage through Colonial Life.

Group Hospital Confinement

All eligible employees can elect Hospital Confinement coverage through Colonial Life.
Student Loan Forgiveness

Employees can qualify for student loan forgiveness as part of the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) plan through the Department of Education.
